Powerwolf - When The Moon Shines Red
Just thought that I would plug this book. If you have not read it then I HIGHLY recommend it. Especially if you want a good book to read during your time off for the holidays.
This is “The Sticks” written by Andy Deane, the lead singer of the Gothic/Industrial/Dark Wave band Bella Morte.
The plot concerns an average misfit of a guy who loses his girlfriend at a party and then finds out that she did not make it home. He comes to find out that his quiet Virginia town has become the hunting ground of a werewolf!
I don’t want to give too much away plot wise, but this book is awesome. The dialogue is very natural, the characters are believable to the point that you feel like you have met people like this before and it has some very tense and scary moments.
If you like horror stories, werewolf stories or just stories about ordinary people dealing with extraordinary situations I think you will like this. It is one of my all time favorite books!
“Conquest” by Lucio Fulci!
One of the strangest fantasy films to come out in the wake of the success of “Conan The Barbarian”.
Though it is not specified were this is set, whether it be a lost age of man, a post-apocalyptic future or a world entirely unto itself. A young man named Ilius is given a bow that possesses mystical properties and is sent on a journey to discover his courage.
Ilius comes upon a land ruled by a monstrous cult leader named Ohkren who rules the peasants of the land through fear and terror in the form of her army of savage men, monsters and the belief that she controls the sun. Ilius meets and befriends a wanderer named Mace and together they fight to free the land from Ohkren and her monsters.
This movie is lacking in plot by is long on action, gore and sex. Werewolves, zombies and other weird monstrosities run wild in this horror fantasy classic from Lucio Fulci!
The Irish werewolf is different from the Teutonic or European werewolf, as it is really not a “monster” at all. Unlike its continental cousins, this shapeshifter is the guardian and protector of children, wounded men and lost persons. According to some ancient sources, the Irish werewolves were even recruited by kings in time of war. Known in their native land as the faoladh or conroicht, their predatory behaviour is typical of the common wolf, not beneath the occasional nocturnal raid
i need stories about this one
There is also the Scottish cousin to the creature, the Wulver.

These creatures inhabit the Shetland islands and have no human form. He spends his days fishing and is not hostile to humans unless he is attacked. He even gives some of his catch to families in need.
Another round of poster, VHS, DVD and soundtrack artwork from some of my all time favorite werewolf films.
Legion Of The Damned ‘Sons Of The Jackal’
2007
My first Legion of the Dead album and probably my favorite.
“Project Metalbeast” VHS box art from the UK. It was released there simply as “Metalbeast”.
Part of a previous photo set but I thought that it was so cool it deserved its own post.
Awesome werewolf movie about a secret project to create werewolf shock troops. That project is combined with another designed to create a metal based skin and the resulting monster is impervious to harm. Especially to silver bullets.
Desperately needs a DVD release.
