A Falchion of a Knight Templar (~1300)

Dieser Falchion oder Malchus wird im Rothenburger Reichsstadtmuseum gezeigt. Die Knaufvorderseite ziert ein mit Kupferdraht eingelegtes Templerkreuz. Die Knaufrückseite zeigt ein stilisiertes “H”. Im oberen Teil der Klinge ist zudem ein Kreuz mit einem Auge an der Spitze eingelegt (auf den Bildern leider nicht zu sehen). Die Waffe wurde auf das Jahr 1300 datiert.

Egyptian New Kingdom Period Daggers

Gold, semi precious stones and glass paste

L.31.9 cm,W. 4.4cm, Blade 20.1cm

This dagger was found with another one in the wraps of Tutankhamun’s mummy. The blade is highly polished gold with simple and elegantly engraved details. The hilt, also of gold, has alternating bands of granulated gold with red and blue glass

The decoration on the hilt contains a hunting scene. Its top is decorated with a floral motif, in the center of which are two cartouches with the names of the King.
