Sobek (also called Sebek, Sochet, Sobk, and Sobki),  was an ancient Egyptian deity with a complex and fluid nature. He is associated with the Nile crocodile and is either represented in its form or as a humanwith a crocodile head. Sobek was also associated with pharaonic power, fertility, and military prowess, but served additionally as a protective deity with apotropaic qualities, invoked particularly for protection against the dangers presented by the Nile river.

(Apologies to any egyptologists whom I may have unintentionally offended if it turns out the nonsense I wrote actually spells out something naughty…)

He wears a headdress that is similar to Amun, iirc. The plumes are supposed to be feathers, but they sometimes look like funky tablets on the top of his head, tbh. And the sun disc is a circle :3 Here are some photos for reference:

I just had time to get to this, so forgive me for the lack of resources to point towards.

Sobek was typically seen with a big sun disc and a uraeus in the center (good old Wadjet being bffs with him and all) since he was viewed as a creator deity:

or the Triple Rush Crown/Hemhem crown which is reeds flanked by ostrich feathers atop ram horns, Nekhbet & Wadjet on either side, topped by sun discs (fun note, this crown was usually worn by Heka, so it’s interesting to see it on Sobek because he doesn’t have the epithet Weret-hekau that I’ve been able to find):

The popular Sobek depictions that Devo posted with the plumes, sun disc, and ram horns is usually worn by Atum and Sobek-Atum-Ra (shortened to Sobek-Ra once he was thought to be Creator of All, King of the Gods and in charge of warfare, the Nile, and a whole bunch of other domains which is why the AE people were like, “Well shit he runs AAAALL this so this actually must be Sobek and Atum-Ra to make the supernetjer Sobek-Ra!”)

I was worried that I was posting some sort of Sobek-Ra mix of things. Thanks for coming in and adding extra commentary. :3
