Radio Blue Heart is on the air!

Godzilla books. I found this at a local shop. That last one of Godzilla sleeping at that bottom of the ocean makes him look like a puppy. I liked these. They were intended for children but they make for good light reading.

I saw an advertisement in the back for other books in the series and the “Godzilla Compendium”. I remember seeing that book in a bookstore when i was a kid. I begged my dad for it. He told me to shut up or he would kick my ass. He wasn’t much for “luxuries” like books. Oh well.

The older you get, the more you wish to live in the past.

The exodus begins

I signed the paper work today. I will spend all weekend moving into my new place. It is clean and high above any flood zones. Also, it will only take me 10 minutes to walk to work. It will do, but I am still set on getting a room in Hunter’s old building.

I thought about the days I help her and Yvonne move and I got a little nostalgic, and a little misty eyed. I really miss them. I still talk to Hunter and I really need to pay Yvonne a visit. Sigh…

I hope this works out better than this one. No floods or idiots. Much needed solitude. So, for those who follow me here, I will be online sporadically over the next week until I can get my own connection again. This one might go down tomorrow.

Wish me luck.

The Spirit of Radio

No its not about me.

I often find solace in music. FM radio needs more respect as provider of it. To night I was driving home and one of the stations played three song that just made me feel at peace with the world. One by Pink Floyd and two by Bob Seger. Bob Seger songs as tragic as they are lyrically always put me in a good mood. It reminds me of when I was kid riding on the back of my parents’ cars as drove at night. It was just a warm feeling that put you at ease on a cold winter’s night.

Its an odd feeling. But it is a nice one.
