I was very happy when this appeared as a fanart request. I very recently started reading Sandman for the first time and its been one of the series that has been keeping me going in the current quarantine situation. I’ll admit I was kind of on the fence about how I felt about the series when I first started it…the last collection I read, Season of Mists, changed everything. I read it cover to cover in one sitting and am now happily awaiting the next two issues in the mail (happy to have an excuse to support my favorite local bookstore too).
I’ll definitely be revisiting Sandman in my sketchbook more often…I’d love to at some point draw all of the Endless, especially Desire and Death. The sibling relationship between Death and Dream is one of my favorites and I love how their interaction flips him from powerful ethereal being to the baby brother in an instant. Its hilarious and endearing.
Hi, my 5year old son and I have just watched the episode of Arthur in which you feature. Once it ended I told him that I have several of your books, he then patted my arm sympathetically and replied "I'm sorry Mummy, but he's not real! Its just a story!" I tried to explain but he remained adamant. He still believes in the Tooth Fairy and Father Christmas though!
It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful edition, too. Newly coloured, for a start.

My musings, thoughts, ideas and obsessions.
