Here is a larger (or at least more expansive) version of the comic page a reblogged a could of posts back. Once again, this is from a Japanese anthology comic called “The Godzilla Comic” published in 1991. This story was written and drawn by the actor who played King Ghidorah in “Godzilla vs King Ghidorah”. It is called “Godzilla: Monster Warrior” and has Godzilla transformed into a sword and sorcery type character.
I wish I could find this whole story. Even if I can’t read Japanese, it would be so badass!
This is a page from the manga story, “Godzilla: Monster Warrior,” by mangaka/suit actor/Godzilla fan Hurricane Ryuu (Godzilla Vs. King Ghidorah, Den-Ace, etc.), in the doujinshi anthology collection, The Godzilla Comic (1990). Imagine Bandai’s Tamashii Nations making a figure out of this guy! :)
I… I actually really want to read this! Anthropomorphic Godzilla by way of John Norman, Edgar Rice Burroughs and Frank Frazzeta! That’s pretty damn cool!
“See me in the mirror if you want to. See me in the mirror if you really want to. Maybe not too clear, but the face you’ll see is mine.
Do you feel my eyes burning through you? Do you feel the burn when my eyes see through you? Do you see my eyes when they burn into your mind?
I can feel the teardrops hit the ground where I lay. I can feel you breathing while I sleep through the day. See you in a vision in the dark with no light. Your soul may go to heaven, but your heart’s mine tonight.
See me in the mirror…”
-Alice Cooper
Just got “Godmonster of Indian Flats” in the mail yesterday. Its a movie about poisonous gas seeping out of the ground and turning a common sheep into a horrible monster that terrorizes the countryside. There is also satire about land rights and racism in the South-West.
Like most “Something Weird Video” movies, they crammed it with extras including an entire extra feature film.
A movie is good as long as it entertains you one way or another.
This blog is mostly so I can vent my feelings and share my interests. Other than that, I am nothing special.
If you don't like Left Wing political thought and philosophy, all things related to horror, the supernatural, the grotesque, guns or the strange, then get the fuck out. I just warned you.
