An alien ship is discovered in the tail of Haley’s Comet. The Anglo-American shuttle crew finds the dessicated remains of bat-like aliens and three humanoids in suspended animation. The creatures are brought back to Earth where they escape and begin feeding off the life force of the human population of Britain.
