“Screams of a Winter Night”
1979 anthology film about a group of college friends that go for a holiday at a cabin called “Coyote Lake” because of its constant howling winds. The lake has a colorful past and it supposedly cursed. It is hear that they decide to share scary stories.
Very creepy.
“Nightmares in a Damaged Brain” 1981
Horror movie about a lunatic who as a child chopped his parents up with an axe because he caught them having kinky sex. He is out of the asylum because of the new medication he is on. But, when he stops taking it and is plagued by horrific nightmares, he goes on a cross country murder spree!
Banned in the UK as a “video nasty”.

With the exception of the “Dawn of the Dead” gatefold slip case, the rest are from Anchor Bay’s clam shell VHS collection. All of them brought me so much joy and enrichment in an otherwise bland and boring existence.

I have been listening to it a lot lately. It is very calming, yet it also sounds ominous. The film itself is about a girl would becomes demonically possessed when her Egyptologist father gives her an Ancient Egyptian necklace.
“Rawhead Rex”
Based on a short story by Clive Barker.
A monstrous pagan god is loosed when a neolithic stone that held him prisoner is moved. The creature goes on a killing spree to reclaim that which was his.
Clive Barker has expressed a desire to make another attempt to adapt this story, as he was not happy with the final film. Mostly the look of the monster.
I saw this on television when I was about 8 or so. It scared the living hell out of me.
