Radio Blue Heart is on the air!

“The Asphyx” trailer from 1973.

A Victorian scientist thinks he has recorded in photographs the human soul leaving the body at the moment of death. But, closer examination reveals that the phenomenon in the photographs is moving toward the dying rather than away. What he has captured on film is actually an Asphyx, a spirit from Greek Mythology that acts as a personal grim reaper, coming to claim the soul at death to take it to the afterlife. He is determined to capture his own Asphyx in order to become immortal!

“Project Metalbeast” VHS box art from the UK. It was released there simply as “Metalbeast”.
Part of a previous photo set but I thought that it was so cool it deserved its own post.

Awesome werewolf movie about a secret project to create werewolf shock troops. That project is combined with another designed to create a metal based skin and the resulting monster is impervious to harm. Especially to silver bullets.

Desperately needs a DVD release.

“Ticks” from 1993. Also known as “Infested” and “C2”.

A group of troubled inner city youths, including Seth Green and Alfonso Ribeiro (aka Carlton from “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”) are taken to a camping retreat to deal with their various problems. Little do they know that some local marijuana growers are trying to increase their crop with herbal steroids. The steroids also cause ticks that inhabit the plants to grow to tremendous size and start attacking humans! They are not just parasites any more!

Features awesome chunk blowing creature and gore effects and laundry list of cult stars.

More from “My Bloody Valentine”

The Prowler and Harry Warden looking cuter than they really should be.

“The Prowler” aka “Rosemary’s Killer” 1981
