State wildlife experts are seeking DNA analysis to pinpoint the mysterious creature’s species.
I had a few people send this to me but I’ll post this one since it has the link!
To me that looks like a coywolf. Of course with all kind of ‘mysterious creature’ clickbait, no on seems to take full body profiles or lots of images of the animal to be able to confirm just from images. But to me, it looks like a melanistic coywolf that was blowing it’s coat, hence the shaggy appearance. The ears scream coyote for sure. I think it is more uncommon for coyotes and wolves to hybridize in that area but it could have always traveled from further east and just ended up in MT. It’ll be interesting to see the DNA results but from the images I would have said it was a coy-mix more then a ‘wolf like creature’. The skull would be the best identifier without DNA analysis, so I hope images of it surface eventually.
I swear though the funniest accusation was ‘dire wolf’ which would have been nearly 3 times the size of that animal lol.
Your werewolf art is nothing short of amazing. Its beautiful frightening. I know your focus as of late has been on your OC Zero and related characters, but have you ever considered doing a horror/Gothic romance graphic novel or illustrated novel with your werewolf characters? I would certainly love to read it. At the least, do you sell prints of your werewolves?
First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to write me to say such a kind thing. It really helps to hear it.
Honestly, yes, I have very much wanted to do a large project such as an illustrated novel with my husband for many years now. Unfortunately, my attention span and confidence has tanked over the years (largely because of mental health struggles); you might notice that when I do open for commissions I take small, quick things like portraits and single characters. Working for long periods of time without getting steady income freaks me out, even though I know that if I stuck to it, it would be worth it in the end.
That said, I do believe that if I did SHORT stories, with maybe five illustrations each, I could manage that. I would also set up a Kickstarter once one story was finished, so that I could have money coming in to encourage me. I do have a lot of story ideas bumping around in my head that I could draw off of with my hubby’s help.
So yes, I think this year will be the year of me finally doing something like that. Wish me luck!
This blog is mostly so I can vent my feelings and share my interests. Other than that, I am nothing special.
If you don't like Left Wing political thought and philosophy, all things related to horror, the supernatural, the grotesque, guns or the strange, then get the fuck out. I just warned you.
