As the next and last game of the series, Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 is bound to answer – and raise – a lot of questions. This location is very different from other games, your motivation for survival is given a different flavor without a paycheck, and now we know that without cameras, the only time you’ll see the Animatronics is if you’re in the same room.
This game hints back to FNaF 1 in many ways, with the similarities far too alike to ignore.
Nightmare Foxy’s Closet is a reference to Pirate Cove
The two hallways are references to the East Hall / West Hall (brightened)
Even Nightmare Bonnie’s jumpscare mirrors FNaF 1 Bonnie’s jumpscare
Even the signature, ever-present “IT’S ME” has come back as a question, more unsure of this game’s storyline as ever. All this seems symbolic of the fact that we never win – and even worse, we’ve brought these monsters out of their hiding spots and into our own. Perhaps we’ll be left with more questions about the game series at the end of FNaF 4, and when these similarities have us thinking about how much we thought we knew at the end of the first game, it’ll all hit home.
This blog is mostly so I can vent my feelings and share my interests. Other than that, I am nothing special.
If you don't like Left Wing political thought and philosophy, all things related to horror, the supernatural, the grotesque, guns or the strange, then get the fuck out. I just warned you.
