Radio Blue Heart is on the air!

This is what you carry when you can’t afford an ipod!

Just kidding. Now that I have that Ipod touch I rescued from the trash.

But this one is not so bad. It is pretty nifty for a $12 transistor radio. I get a lot of good stations, music and the news. I can pick up NPR and some radio shows like “Love Line”. I goes anywhere and has an earphone jack. It is very retro but I am not trying to be a hipster by carrying it.

I love the spirit of radio. You have no picture so your imagination takes over half the experience. And its always interesting to see what it has to offer rather than being in complete control. Just ride the ether waves!

The Spirit of Radio

No its not about me.

I often find solace in music. FM radio needs more respect as provider of it. To night I was driving home and one of the stations played three song that just made me feel at peace with the world. One by Pink Floyd and two by Bob Seger. Bob Seger songs as tragic as they are lyrically always put me in a good mood. It reminds me of when I was kid riding on the back of my parents’ cars as drove at night. It was just a warm feeling that put you at ease on a cold winter’s night.

Its an odd feeling. But it is a nice one.
