Near miss

The comic shop almost gave away my comics again this week. Instead of putting them in my subscription box, they put them on the rack with the others. The only reason that they did not sell out is that Boone is still half empty because the university is still on break. Its weird that they pulled “Hellboy”, “Godzilla” and “30 Days of Night” but they seemed to forget to pull “Adventure Time with Fiona and Cake” and “My Little Pony”. I know that they don’t seem to think that the same person would read all that, but if they read the damn pull sheets they would know. Yes, I read those and I make no fucking apology for it.

A friend of mine works there and he told me that one of the guys who works there is intimidated by me and that he is worried that i don’t like him. Well he should be because that unhelpful little idiot has cost me a great deal of money and frustration. I am determined to just visit the shop on Friday to avoid the drama and deal with people who know what they are doing.

I know its all over comics, but it is the principle of the thing. Like November’s comics incident.

Demand Plan to End Gun Violence (x)

Bullshit.

But that never stopped anyone from exploiting a tragedy for political reasons. These people can afford bodyguards and to live in gated communities. They know nothing of any kind of violence except the kind they glamorize in their screen performances.

If someone wants a gun bad enough, they will get one. If they have to steal it, buy it or make it.

Aristotle once said “Poverty is the mother of revolution and crime.” A bunch of rich bourgeois actors and talk show host wouldn’t know anything about it. Maybe they should think about that when they want to make street corners safe.
