“He’s in coveralls, in a tank helmet. He’s got a ‘34, gilded. When he sits in it, the thunder peals and the lightning flashes. There, you see…” 

“And he helps you in battle?”

“He helps me. I hear the tanks. All tanks talk, only no one hears them, but I hear them. And they, when the shells are flying at them, they warn me and I get out of the way of the shells. That’s how they help me. They want me to live. And they want me to burn that White Tiger.To exact vengeance.”

Well, the Russian war film “White Tiger” finally got a DVD release in North America. And instead of the awesome art work for the DVD that the rest of the world got, we got this nonsense.

A crappy photoshopped cover with some random Russian soldier armed with a PPSh-41 and a picture of a post-war tank which I believe is a T-62 tank. Another major difference is that instead already available international dub done with a British cast, E One commissioned a brand new dub job. You have the option of seeing it in its original Russian dialogue with English subtitles, and its only special feature is a theatrical trailer. 

This film stands out and I hate that it got such a lackluster release. Just look beyond the mediocre box art and try to see this film for the remarkable piece of work that it truly is.
