Radio Blue Heart is on the air!

Merry Christmas everyone.

Here some yuletide fear from the public domain.

“Silent Night, Bloody Night” (aka Deathouse, aka The Night of the Dark Full Moon) 1972.

Not to be confused with the infamous 1984 killer Santa slasher film “Silent Night, Deadly Night” and its sequels.

The story is about man who comes to a town populated by odd characters to claim his inheritance of his family’s mansion. A mansion that his grandfather turned into an insane asylum.

It has all the the things that makes the holidays great: Ax murders, escaped metal patients and incest. Merry Christmas everybody!

Associate produced by Lloyd Kaufman and starring Mary Woronov and John Carradine.

It maybe public domain, but please don’t think of your dear old Radio Blue Heart as a cheap jerk that gets you cheap Christmas presents.

Radio Blue Heart presents TALES FROM THE PUBLIC DOMAIN!

Episode 64: Silent Night, Bloody Night!

aka DEATHOUSE

Just in time for Christmas, a young woman, played by Mary Woronov, relates the story of a young man who comes to a town run by a bunch of old weirdos to claim his inheritance, the Butler Mansion. The Mansion was home to a even bigger weirdo named Wilfred Butler who turned it into an insane asylum and imprisoned his daughter in it until the inmates revolted and murdered the doctors and staff on Christmas eve.

The mayor and the town council want to make the young man an offer on the mansion so they can buy it and tear it down. But, they begin to receive menacing phone calls from someone who calls himself “Marianne”. The treats soon become real as someone begins to brutally murder all parties involved with an ax.

This is a perfect treat for any time of the year, but nothing says Christmas classic like ax murders and incest! Merry Fucking Christmas!

Girls with axes~

John Dies At The End (2012)

The riddle of the ax.

Is he right?

archiemcphee:

What is that, some kind of lute? Nope. It’s an awesome, completely playable reproduction of the battle ax-turned-Ax Bass belonging to Marceline, our favorite Vampire Queen, from Adventure Time. It was handcrafted by San Francisco-based steampunk artist Dr. James Avelgaard.

This is actually the second working Ax Bass that Avelgaard has made. The first one was made as a working cosplay accessory. Click here to listen to it play (and while you’re at it, here’s Marceline playing hers).

Click here for additional photos of this fantastic instrument. It’s currently available for purchase via the Avelgaard Etsy shop.
