Figure of a Jackal

This solid cast bronze statuette could represent either of the gods Anubis or Wepwawet, both of whom could be depicted as a jackal-headed man. It is in a walking pose with really good detailing on the face and kilt. The left arm is missing from just above the elbow. 

Late Period, 26th Dynasty, ca. 664-525 BC. Now in the World Museum, National Museums Liverpool. 56.5.88
