the problem with rural conservatives isn’t that they’re backwards & poor, it’s that the only people coming to them and addressing their concerns are fascists.

Yeah this tends to be the case. The only people you hear in rural communities are conservatives, and they’re the ones at least acknowledging the fact that you exist and have problems, you’re gonna be supporting them instead of the party that doesn’t know you and your problems exist. We as leftists need to work on reaching and helping rural communities. Everyone deserves access to healthcare, food, clean water and shelter, but most efforts to fix these issues only go to cities. Rural communities feel left out. We need to work to help these communities as well as the cities.
