with UFO sightings being reported left and right and a new wave of hysteria surrounding it, could you please explain why are the US so damn fixated on UFOs and aliens as a cultural phenomenon? i am not from the US, and i don't even consider myself some kind of ultraskeptic who rejects all weirdness in this world as either delusion or wrong data. but there's something uniquely deranged about how americans approach these reports and stories. what are the origins of this? anti-communism? WW2?

similar deal going on with mk-ultra- all the dumb bullshit about “illuminati monarch programming in the superbowl halftime show” makes it almost impossible to research the actual, factual cia program. and with 9/11, any serious investigation into the possibility that bush knew about the attacks beforehand, or that al qaeda was controlled opposition, gets drowned out by stupid shit about the planes being holograms and, of course, the antisemitism.
