On this day, 23 December 1948 Argentine revolutionary martyr Clarisa Rosa Lea Place was born. She was arrested by the US-backed dictatorship in 1971 after delivering food to a poor neighbourhood. She later participated in a mass prison escape of left-wing political prisoners, but was recaptured and shot alongside 18 others (only 3 of whom survived) in the Trelew massacre. https://www.facebook.com/workingclasshistory/photos/a.296224173896073/2169136943271444/?type=3
