in the minds of these lawmakers ‘fix whats broken’ means needing to stop the schools and their textbooks from mentioning that gays exist, how babies are made, that texas was quite literally founded because mexico wouldnt allow them to own slaves, or to admit how severely gerrymandered the state has to be to stay red despite steady increase of texans who vote democrat for the last three decades so it just makes sense to say that people who live in the city and dont own land shouldnt count in voting
