The Haraldskær Woman is a bog body of a woman who was discovered in Jutland, Denmark, dating from around 490 BCE. Not only was the body in excellent preservation, but so was the internal organs. As most bog bodies that have been recovered indicate that they died from murder of even sacrifice, it’s believed that she was killed in the same manner - she had a grove in her neck as if a rope had been tied around it. She was naked when discovered but her clothes, which consisted of a leather cape and various woolen garments, were placed on top of her.
