Carter is underrated and Reagan sucks.
Growing up, Carter was always held up as an example of a failed presidency: 1 term, bad economy, oil crisis, hostage crisis etc etc, while Reagan was lionized: elected in an overwhelming majority, 2 terms, booming economy and, of course, he presided over the beginning of the end of the Soviet Union, so he gets credit for that.
Now when we look back, almost everything currently wrong with our society can be traced back to Reagan and the damage he did to country's infrastructure in the name of short term gains and trickle down economics. We had a choice between a quick and easy path, and one that was long and hard but right, and we chose the dark side.
