⭐This plump-looking marine animal? It’s the granulated sea star (Choriaster granulatus), also known as the “doughboy starfish” for its portly look.

It grows to about 10 inches (25 centimeters) in size and hangs out around reef habitats in shallow Indo-Pacific waters. On its menu are coral and other small invertebrates—it sometimes even scavenges dead animals.
