🌈Have you ever seen the colorful bark of a rainbow eucalyptus (Eucalyptus deglupta)?
🪵When strips of its bark peel off, they change in color: bark starts out in shades of green, then transitions into purple, red, and orange as time goes on. Continuous peeling helps the tree keep its trunk clear of other plants. This large evergreen tree grows up to about 60 meters (197 feet) tall and might be spotted in the Philippines, New Guinea, Indonesia, Hawaii, and Southern California.

I grew up with a few of these at the park near my home! (Also on Oahu!) Does anyone know if they’re invasive anywhere?
