@the-drokainian looks like an even mix of both, imo. Lake Worth monster, la lechuza, Skinwalker, wampus cat, donkey lady & Bigfoot all stretch back to the 1800s or before. Indigenous people had stories about them. And Bear King goes back to the early 1900s. The rest barely merit a mention, honestly. A couple of them (hogzilla being one) only popped up a few years ago.
I actually didn’t know that much about any of them, I just liked the artwork. Lol. But now I know! the-drokainian said: Are these real folklore or urban monsters?
