That didn’t help the people in El Paso. You may feel safer by being armed, but police officers trained and armed have been killed. In the case of Uvalde, they were of no help to some kids that may have survived, but bled out…There are also reasons why many teachers refuse to be armed…Also liability issues with accidentals.
I’m not against a citizens right to be armed or to carry within the bounds of the law, but it is not realistic either that “a good guy with a gun” is what saves the day.
