Even if the Constitution said that the Christian church should control the state - which it doesn't, it literally says the opposite - I just fully don't give a shit. I'm so tired of people trying to "interpret" what a bunch of slave owners 250 years ago thought, by which I mean just fully say whatever their point was "what the Founders believed." I fully don't give a shit what they thought. If you believe something, just stand behind it yourself, don't hide it behind some long dead white dude.

Regardless, the phrase, "the church should direct the government" should be chilling to just about anyone that doesn't want a Christian theocracy.
