Arizona is about to essentially ban the recording of police officers.

When the police commit brutality people demand their abolition the authorities say “that’s unreasonable let’s compromise and make them more accountable uwu” then they outlaw all means of ensuring the cops don’t abuse their power.

If you record an officer from a distance and see one of them committing violent acts unprovoked all it would take for gathering evidence of that crime being done by state enforcers to be declared illegal is for one of their guilty accomplices to approach you till you’re in close range and demand you shut off your camera or even maybe surrender it.
