Radio Blue Heart is on the air!
  1. afriendlyblackhottie said: @tllgrrl and that’s cool that by the time I’m 2017 he’d picked up the cue that being a democrat and slagging abortion was not lucrative but he was also apart of an administration that said abortion wasn’t a priority. All these democrats changed when trump got in office to prepare to run. I take that with a grain of salt
  2. afriendlyblackhottie said: @tllgrrl he was very instrumental in Clarence Thomas being put on the court and demonizing Anita hill and this is in contex. That’s why I added the thread with the context
  3. tllgrrl said: @afriendlyblackhottie The only judge he’s appointed for SCOTUS (so far) has been Brown-Jackson.
  4. tllgrrl said: I’m just saying if people are going to bring things up, they should bring them up in *context*. Especially as people change opinions on issues over time. For example, from NYTimes dated 3/29/19 re: the 1974 vote: “Mr. Biden entered the Senate in 1973 as a 30 year old practicing Catholic who soon concluded that the SCOTUS went ‘too far’ on abortion rights in the Roe case. [snip] By the time he left the Vice President’s mansion in early 2017, he was a 74 year old who argued a far different view…”
  5. afriendlyblackhottie said: @tllgrrl other guy isn’t even in office and still getting what he wants. Politicians need to campaign and of course we’re also not going to fall for false promises after that election. I don’t even think biden should run again.
  6. afriendlyblackhottie said: @tllgrrl and again why wouldn’t people bring everything up. People want him to fight and not just wait for the senate which he does not have. He’s busy appointing anti abortion judges onto courts as favors for McConnell but has barely even given any messaging. People are allowed to make up their own things in their minds until he comes out with a plan that isn’t just vote because that’s not a plan and he needs to give people a reason to vote that’s not just eh I’m not the other guy since the-
  7. afriendlyblackhottie said: @tllgrrl but these were things he himself did. That’s why I posted the thread because it showed what HE did or said. It’s not like every democrat advocates for certain things and if he’s willing to sell us out for Republican comfort then I don’t trust him to not do it now especially after the way Obama did
  8. tllgrrl said: Also, the litmus test for Supreme Court was a good way to keep progressives off the bench when conservatives were in power. To keep that from happening, no litmus test. Period.
  9. tllgrrl said: @afriendlyblackhottie 1974-2006 he was in the *Senate*. People should find out what the original intention of those Bills were if they’re going to go into the Past and cherrypick. Then bring up what’s happening Now…and what the *now President* can or cannot do about it *now* because he’s not the King, he’s the President, and it’s Senate (who we vote for) & the House (again, who we vote for) who write the Bills and pass them to the President to sign into Law. (Or veto.)
  10. afriendlyblackhottie said: @tllgrrl but why wouldn’t people bring this stuff up especially in their lack of action to do any kind of offense or even defense aside from oh just vote and fundraise. People should bring this stuff up so they can look alive and disprove it. If he doesn’t want people to think he’s cool with all this then he needs to put his money where his mouth is
  11. tllgrrl said: Also 2006-2022. That’s almost 20 years of living. I guess people can’t get new information and form new opinions, or have life experiences over the course of almost 20 years, eh? Nothing can happen in your life can change your mind about something? Ever? Also…I need context.
  12. tllgrrl said: Lemme go find some context, because Bills can start off like you want, and they have other stuff tied to them, so the only way you can get something you want initially, is to vote on the original Bill, with the other stuff added so the Bill can get voted on at all. A lot of Bills people write or vote Yea on aren’t the Bills they initially backed. The other side of the aisle can tie things on a Bill THEY want passed, and they won’t even consider pushing a Bill forward unless THEIR stuff’s added.
