The Etruscan shrew (Suncus etruscus) is one of the smallest living land mammals in the world!🤏
It only grows around 1.3 to 2.1 inches (35 to 55 millimeters) long and weighs somewhere between 0.06 and 0.1 ounces (1.8 and 3 grams). The tiny critter lives in forest, shrub, or grassland habitats throughout southern Europe, northern Africa, and parts of Asia. Its diet consists of small insects such as ants.
