Like its relatives, the veiled chameleon (Chamaeleo calyptratus) has a sticky tongue that’s lightning-fast.🦎👅

In fact, its tongue can be as long as its body! This reptile lives in arid plateau or mountain habitats between Saudi Arabia and Yemen. It’s arboreal and tends to hang out in the treetops or in bushes and shrubs.
