I hope y’all know any gun control passed is going to be applied as racially as possible keeping weapons out of the hands of people who may need to defend their communities from outside attack and keeping them in the hands of right wing militants who are nearly always the perpetrators of mass shootings

Mass shooters are never leftists. Almost never "politically neutral." Almost always on the Right. Many of them are violent misogynists or violent bigots. The Uvalde killer bought a gun on his 18th birthday, a week before he carried out his attack. That's the behavior of someone who wanted to do what he did for a long time and went for it the instant it was easily possible. If his access to guns had been restricted in any way, he would've found another way to do it.

America has an alt right problem and until these people are shut down, captured, no longer allowed to speak openly about their hate online with likeminded fascist, this will only continue to happen no matter what.

I fully agree but I think the Uvalde killer and many others, especially school shooters, have this ideology that almost exists outside politics. Like. The ones that write manifestos tend to be Timothy McVeigh Without Explosives. But some seem more like. I don't know, the player character from "Hatred?" This idea that their life is terrible and humanity is terrible and the only solution is. That. I don't know how that sort of suicidal/omnicidal ideation can be dissolved because, at least to me, it seems to exist outside politics.

Maybe I'm understanding it incorrectly and this plague is very much politically on the Right. Or maybe combating fascism will still aid in fighting this misanthropic violence, I don't know.

Kind of a two birds with one stone situation. Fascism is a deeply inhumane ideology that glorifies violence and general hatred toward your fellow man, right wing ideology is a scourge that must be wiped from any good society.
