people really invested in the housing market: you should move though, dont you want a new house. you should sell and buy another one. it is typical to buy a new house every couple of years! i do it all the time! dont you want something fancier. bigger? better? nicer location??? lock yourself in a different mortgage!

I think about this all the time!! Yea a home is the biggest investment of your life blah blah blah. I don't want to look at the home I buy wondering how much profit I can make from selling it for a crazy higher price in a few years. I want a HOME and I want all others to also be able to have a home wtf is wrong w some people

Yeah literally. My husband and I bought our house in 2020 and he was digging around trying to figure out what tax breaks we could take advantage of, if any, to combat the exponentially increasing property taxes. TURNS OUT, we can request to file our property under the "Homesteaders Act" to basically say that this is the primary house we live in and not a vacation home.
Do you understand the implications of this??? The DEFAULT is NOT THE HOUSE YOU ARE LIVING IN!!!! THAT'S INSANE. THAT'S FUCKED UP. People are living in the street and unable to move out of unwanted living situations because housing costs are out of control and the fucking DEFAULT tax on residential properties are for landlords and people rich enough to afford multiple houses!!!!
