Joe Biden voted for the Defense of Marriage Act and didn’t publically support gay marriage until 2012 but we’re supposed to treat him as the global savior of LGBT people because he says the word “transgender” sometimes in his speeches while doing fuck all to protect us against the wave of anti-LGBT laws sweeping the country

American fascism is explicitly targeting trans people meanwhile Cuba has literally just updated its family code to allow gay marriages, the icing on the cake of queer liberation that has been ongoing there since the eighties. We barely got to marriage here and liberal queers thought that their job was done. Regardless of the social conservatism of past socialist projects and the slow progress of the other current ones, communism and queer liberation are joined at the hip.
