Africa is an entire continent, and it's a huge one, it's bloody gigantic, and that huge continent produces only twice as much CO2 from fossil fuels as this tiny country of Germany. That's right, Germany produces 2% of global emissions despite having only about 1% of the global human population. Even if we didn't need to reduce global emissions drastically, Germany would still need to cut their emissions in half. Since the global climate catastrophe is about to spiral out of control, Germany needs to do far more than that, and all the population growth in Africa doesn't change anything, since most of the people there are far too poor to cause much damage.
