This is a good example of why conservatives, and all Republicans, are garbage people.

I said this on twitter but this is why people can shut the fuck about the vote being “pointless” or democrats being exactly as bad. They are bad, but only one side overwhelmingly said no to a bill that would do absolutely nothing other than save lives. There was nothing else attached to it for them to disagree with.
