On this day, 28 March 1915, Jewish anarchist Emma Goldman delivered a lecture in New York City on family planning, despite having previously been arrested for doing so. Although she did give explicit information on birth control and police were present, contrary to some mistaken reports no arrests were made at this time, although Goldman was arrested prior to a subsequent lecture in the city in February the following year.
