Lifeforce will be released on 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray) on May 24 via Scream Factory. The 1985 science fiction horror film has been newly scanned in 4K from the original camera negative.
Tobe Hooper (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre) directs from a script by Dan O'Bannon (Alien) and Don Jakoby (Vampires), based on Colin Wilson’s 1976 novel The Space Vampires. Steve Railsback, Peter Firth, Frank Finlay, Mathilda May, and Patrick Stewart star. Cannon Films produces.
The three-disc set includes the theatrical and director’s cuts. (Per Scream Factory, the international cut is not included because it only exists as an interpositive film element, which would be jarring spliced into the UHD film.)
