Very funny how so many liberals are now more war-hungry than the actual US government over Ukraine - especially given that the US already basically achieved its main goal by getting Germany to shutter the NordStream 2 pipeline.
Even if the US state’s dream of a Europe completely free of Russian gas and reliant entirely on meagre US imports isn’t feasible, it definitely doesn’t want US boots on the ground, even assuming a completely limited conflict that doesn’t hit any nuclear redlines - and yet, somehow, the liberal moderates are charging ahead of them, making comparisons to ‘isolationism’ and ‘appeasement’ and anything else they remember from their WW2 history unit.
This is what I mean, like. The EU itself disagrees with you. What kind of fantasy is just… moving entirely away from gas and oil in the next six months? If Europe doesn’t have Russian gas by this winter, there’ll be extreme price hikes and rolling blackouts - even in the US. That’s the reality of the matter.
This is just a plain refusal to actually look at the material situation and what it allows and incentivises, in favour of some idealist view where everyone will just Boycott Russia.

You are right in that we do not officially have boots on the ground. You are not right that we do not have boots on the ground. There is a difference between those two sentences and they absolutely can coexist. In fact, they do coexist. We’ve read Sun Tzu, too.
This blog is mostly so I can vent my feelings and share my interests. Other than that, I am nothing special.
If you don't like Left Wing political thought and philosophy, all things related to horror, the supernatural, the grotesque, guns or the strange, then get the fuck out. I just warned you.
