Just a reminder it used to be standard that public locations would have drinking fountains for anyone to use

I have rarely seen any public drinking fountains in here Germany, AFAIK they were never a thing. They might become more common now that summer heatwaves are getting more common and more intense, but I wouldn’t bet any money on that, since a lot of public infrastructure that was very useful to the general public has been dismantled and removed in the past 20 years.
