Adult content on the App Store wouldn't be accepted by regulators in most countries at this point in time. The 30% revenue split is lower than most digital stores and significantly lower than historical software distribution. Do most developers realize that without Apple the government will start regulating apps? It might not be perfect but you really don't want the alternative.
