how long have people been saying that now? at some point you have to realize that we all collectively need to actually do something about the ruling class instead of waiting for jesus to come save us.

i, genuinely, have no issue with people being christian or having personal religious beliefs of any kind, but when those beliefs are being used as a tool to distract people from meaningful organizing against the ruling class with silly witchhunting larps or waiting around for a deus ex machina, well, then that’s an issue.

so just to be clear, i’m not on some epic euphoric fedora tip wave here. i’m sure your belief in god brings you a lot of joy and meaning in your life,and i think that’s genuinely beautiful, and i have no desire to take that away from you. but at the same time you shouldn’t let the ruling class exploit your belief in god to manipulate you into not doing what is necessary to oppose them.
