A statement issued by the Nunavut government says tests found evidence of petroleum hydrocarbons, or fuel chemicals, in the city’s water.]

The capital/largest city in Nunavut is being told not to drink the tap water, and that an emergency water supply is being sourced. This is another example of canada’s colonial ans environmental policies allowing harm to Indigenous (in this case specifically Inuit) people
