Although NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD is the scariest, and DAWN OF THE DEAD My absolute Favourite, DAY OF THE DEAD has to be the BESTof the Trilogy.
I first saw it on video at the age of 14, and it had an incredible effect on Me! Apart from PLAGUE OF THE ZOMBIES, I had not really seen a Zombie Film before. Certainly not a contemporary one and certainly not a flesh-eating one! The Special Make-Up Effects by Tom Savini were unbelievably gory and incredibly realistic- I had literally not seen ANYTHING quite this gruesome before!
It was all downhill from there, with DEMONS, HELLRAISER and numerous Italian Horror Films!
