Witchfinder General reminded me of a Tarantino Film.  Not in structure, style or tone mind you but in the way a historically horrible figure gets brutally killed as comeuppance for his atrocities instead of being allowed to die on his own terms.

I just wish Matthew Hopkins had died as he did in the film instead of being allowed to retire and die in his bed from tuberculosis.  It would have spared many lives and misery.
