These statues represent the female pharaoh Hatshepsut as Osiris, god of the underworld. They decorate her funerary temple at Deir el Bahari. They wear the Double Crown of Egypt (crowns of Upper and Lower Egypt).
Polish specialists were responsible for the study and restoration of the three levels of the temple. The archaeological and conservation expedition reconstructed almost the entire Upper Terrace, including nine statues of Hatshepsut as Osiris, the so-called Osiriacs.
