This was sadly the first Halloween film I saw in a movie theater. I didn’t see a lot of horror before I had access to my own car because frankly, no one else in my family liked it. So, I didn’t get to start taking myself until transportation wasn’t an issue. I remember the thrill I had when I was finally able to go whenever I wanted and to see whatever I wanted. My first few were things like Army of Darkness, In The Mouth of Madness, Interview With The Vampire and Species. Horror to me back then was something forbidden that my parents greatly disapproved of but it was my money from my job so they couldn’t say anything about how I spent it (Unless it was on things I brought back into their house that the did not approve of).
Now, I no longer have to see Horror movies on my own at the theater and I have friends who want to see spooky movies with me. Being an adult is pretty awesome.
