I was talking to a couple of friends of mine who work maintenance if something I saw in a movie had any basis in reality.

In the movie “The Driller Killer”, the character of Reno killed people with a power drill.I wondered if he could do that and not short out the drill with blood. They said that if the blood got grounded it would short out. I told them that he used the kind of drill you plug into the wall. I don’t think battery operated were available in 1979. He wore a battery pack on his belt to power it. The belt power pack was actually for an Aeroflex camera, but they said that it would be an awesome idea because plug drills have a lot more power than a battery powered one. And, they joked that they had used the as hammers, they were so weak.

So anyway, I showed this movie as part of a free Halloween show and some of the people kept complaining “Why is there a cord coming out of the drills?!” “What?! Is that a really fucking long extension cord he'r using?!” “Hurrrrr!!!”

Brian responded by saying,

“Tell ‘em to use their fuckin’ imaginations! Jesus!”

Nothing more need be said. Its OK to analyze but not to nitpick.
