This was the first action the BPP did. They started sending armed crossing guards to this intersection to make sure kids could cross safely. Like these dudes with guns walking kids across the street. The city decided that intersection did indeed need a stop light. BPP history needs more markers like this because I only learned these things from neighbors when I lived in the neighborhood. Oral history is real.
