The Go-Go Boys: The Inside Story of Cannon Films will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on July 20 via MVD’s Rewind Collection. The 2014 documentary chronicles prolific independent studio The Cannon Group.
Cannon produced over 300 films, including such cult classics as Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, Masters of the Universe, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, the Death Wish sequels, Over the Top, Bloodsport, The Delta Force, and Breakin’.
The film features new interviews with co-owners Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus, along with Jean-Claude Van Damme, Michael Dudikoff, Jon Voight, Eli Roth, Boaz Davidson, Billy Drago, and more, plus archival material from the likes of Sylvester Stallone and Chuck Norris. Hilla Medalia directs.
The Go-Go Boys features reversible artwork and a mini-poster. The first pressing includes a slipcover. The only special feature listed is the theatrical trailer. Watch it below.
